What are Traineeships?
The Federal Government Traineeship scheme was set up in conjunction with the states to provide a range of nationally recognised qualifications. The New Apprenticeship program is designed to encourage employers to improve the skills of their labour force by providing on-the-job flexible training programs backed by government incentives.
No two businesses are the same, and that is why Traineeships have been designed to be flexible, while at the same time providing nationally recognised quality training developed by industry for industry.
Student Eligibility
Participation in Traineeships are open to all employees within a company or organisation who have not completed a Certificate Level 3 or higher qualification in any field of study. Both new and existing employees are eligible to participate in New Apprenticeship courses.
A new employee is anyone who has been working for less than 3 months full time or 12 months part time.
Traineeship Information & Government Funding
Did you know that up to $3,700 of government funding is available for Certificate III and higher qualifications.
The level of funding varies from $1,700 to $3,700 depending upon length of employment and part time/full time employment status of the trainee.
Who is eligible to obtain this funding? It is available for anyone between the ages of 15 and 65!
There may even be a small surplus of funds for you to use at your discretion after paying for the training.
In most Australian states there is additional funding available under the User Choice program.
Flexible Delivery
Daniels Associates offers a combination of training delivery and assessment, to maximise training outcomes.
We generally deliver training in an on-site classroom environment.
The times, dates and duration of training delivery is completely flexible and will be negotiated with each individual employer to best suit the needs of the workplace.
Class sizes are kept small to encourage participation, from 6 to 15 staff per session.
The sessions are fun, interesting and practical and our trainees usually enjoy the training and the ideas that are shared.
Trainees are issued with handouts, colour training books, and homework assignments.
There are NO exams.
