Whether it be cleaning floors, using auto-scrubbers and carpet cleaning equipment, implementing OHS practices, improving communication skills, time management and personal confidence, Daniels Associates has the experience and industry knowledge to deliver these skills. Our training and assessment staff have a life time of experience in Asset Maintenance and understand the skills required by a modern cleaning company.
Duration: 12-24 months
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of skilled cleaning operations with the need to apply discretion and judgement. Work would be undertaken in various cleaning settings across the range of areas being assessed. Individuals may have some responsibility for others and provide technical advice and support to a team.
To achieve recognition at Certificate III level, the candidate for recognition must demonstrate competency in all 5 core units plus 14 elective units (total of 19 units).
The elective units must include a minimum of 7 units from Group A and a minimum of 4 units from Group B. In addition, up to 3 elective units may be selected from any other approved Training Package as long as the unit(s) is not the same or similar to those units listed below or being selected from other Training Package(s).

- General Cleaning units for office, bathrooms
- Hard floor cleaning and maintenance

- Carpet restoration methods
- Hard Floor restoration methods
- External cleaning and restoration
- High level cleaning
- Infection control
- Customer service
What you are really going to do
- Attend monthly workshops conducted in the workplace
- Participate in lots of work shop activities
- Conducts workplace audit and report on results
- Work in groups to complete small workplace projects
- Complete small homework assignments
How you will be assessed
- Workshop activities and workplace simulations
- Homework Assignments, mostly multiple choice
- Short answer assignments
- Participate in workplace interviews and demonstrations
- Workplace evidence of previous work you have performed
- Note: There are NO exams
Career Pathways
- All candidates who undertake PRM30104 Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) are provided with advice on employment and training options. Candidates who complete Certificate III and intend to further their knowledge are encouraged to enrol in the Certificate IV program. Candidates should discuss the most appropriate Certificate IV program with their workplace supervisor.
National Recognition
- Daniels Associates recognises relevant qualifications issued by other RTOs. There is no fee for National Recognition. Where the qualification was gained more than 3 years ago we reserve the right to check that competence is current.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
- RPL is an assessment process that enables an applicant to gain recognition of skills and knowledge regardless of how they were achieved. This may include formal or informal learning, work experience or general life experience. In order to grant RPL Daniels Associates trainer and assessor must be confident that the applicant is currently competent against the units of competence in the qualification. The evidence to demonstrate this may include certificate, references from past employers, testimonials from clients and work samples. Where RPL is granted you do not have to participate in further training and assessment for skills and knowledge that you already possess. There is a fee for RPL assessment.
