
Food Processing & Food Plants
We provide a unique range of courses to the Food Processing Industry. Firstly we would like to explain that our courses are relevant to the audience we are training. Our courses are designed to apply directly to production staff. We deliver many of the session in a simple, fun and interactive manner. Unlike many other training organisations we have broken down complex principals of HACCP and production processes into fun and simple to understand course materials.

Course Introduction and Outline
Introduction to the food processing and industry. This session includes an introductory group exercise designed to introduce key concepts for the course and group learning concepts which will be used throughout the course.

Session 2 – OH&S
Trainees will learn in a very interactive session the practical application of OH&S. Topics covered include safe handling of chemicals, using electrical equipment, house keeping, manual handling and risk assessment techniques.

Session 3 - Communications
An interactive, practical and fun session. The session cover the basics of teamwork, leadership and communication. A range of games and team based activities are used to shoe trainees the importance of communication, teamwork, team interactions and communication.

Session 4 - Cleaning & Sanitation
An interactive session where trainees learn the importance of cleaning and sanitation procedures, personal hygiene, hand washing, and basic cleaning chemistry concepts. Trainees are introduced to the world of microbes and micro-organisms. |

Session 5- GMP
Trainees will learn the guidance principals of good manufacturing practice for both pharmaceutical and food processing. The importance of SOP’s and ISO 9000 quality management principals

Session 6 - HACCP
Introduction to the 7 principals of HACCP and their implementation in food processing plants. A range of interactive exercises are used to reinforce the key principals.

Session 7 - GMP Production Processes
The practical principals of GMP through out the production process are discussed in detail. From weighing and manufacture, to labeling and packaging.

Session 8 - Production Processes
Model production processes – flow of materials and product through the system. Class group activities to model the process flow for a production process. Emphasis on integration of process steps in the overall production cycle.

Session 9 - Conducting an Audit
Trainees are introduced to the principals of conducting an internal audit. Audit principals are discussed then the class is broken into groups to perform audits of various aspects of the production process.

Session 10 - Employer Specific
This additional module is optional for each employer. The composition of an additional unit is developed in conjunction with the employer prior to commencing the training program. This module may cover specific production process or equipment used in production. |
